Professor Anne-Beatrice KiharIn her professional discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology she is seasoned in leadership, teaching, research, clinical proficiency, curricula and program development, student supervision and mentorship, community development and advocacy. Her leadership journey begun with the Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society where she participated in legislative Bills Development; professional clinical scope of practice for health care providers; policy formulation/reviews; strategic planning; guideline development and standard operating procedures; partnerships/ networks and collaboration with various donors, development partners, implementers, civil societies and communities.  She is currently the Chairperson of the World Health Organization Partnership in Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health health professionals association Contingency a professional collaborative of neonatologists, pediatricians, pharmacists, midwives and Gynaecologists. She serves as a strategic board member in Voluntary Services Overseas, International Childbirth Initiative, Coalition on women’s health, and  the Division of Reproductive Health at the Kenyatta National Hospital and University of Nairobi.   Additionally,  has published over 110 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals and written two scientific books.
